To Our Studio Guests, Friends and Family,
With the recent news and developments around COVID-19, also known as Novel Coronavirus, we would like to assure you all that we are taking extra precautionary
measures in order to protect you and our staff as that is our top priority.
As a public venue and bar establishment, we are upholding the highest possible hygiene standards in accordance with recommendations from the
Public Health Agency of Canada, Global Affairs Canada, Peel Public Health, the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, and the World Health Organization.
We love our Studio Guests, Friends and Followers so much. You are at the heart of what we do and so we hold your safety and the safety of our amazing team as our top priority.
Therefore, we are committed to the following:
Capacity
At this time, we will still be open for business but will be reducing the classes and the class sizes that we schedule based on CDC’s recommendation for social distancing. Our March Break kids classes will be closed to align with Peel Public Health’s recommendation.
Refund Policy
We have implemented a flexibility policy, valid on new bookings made by March 31, 2020, on all event bookings. Guests who no longer wish to attend their scheduled event will receive a credit on a gift card for use at a future event when they notify us by phone 24 hours prior to the event.
If there are any changes to future events, The Studio Paint Bar will communicate with guests who have purchased tickets as soon as possible before the event. Due to the constant updates made by the government, we will do our best to keep everyone updated on our website and social media as well. Here is a link to our website: www.thestudiopaintbar.ca and we can be found on Instagram: @thestudiopaintbar
Hygiene Practices
We’re ensuring that our staff maintains the highest hygiene standards, including practicing proper and frequent hand washing and elimination of physical interactions such as handshakes.
Studio Cleaning
We uphold ourselves to a very high-standard of cleaning on a regular basis and have increased the frequency and diligence with which we clean the shared spaces and frequently used surfaces in our venues. This includes high-touch surfaces: all door handles, tables, bar tops, point of sale screens, payment terminals and other.
Protocols for Our Staff
We are a small team, with up to three people working at each event. We have full control over our environment and are constantly working with our staff to make sure they are informed and making good decisions about their health.
Protocols Our Guests at The Studio
Every guest is being asked to wash their hands and use our hand-sanitizer when they enter The Studio. We ask if anyone is feeling unwell to please stay home to get rest and self-contain themselves. We are offering flexible credit policies to ensure we can continue to accommodate our guests. You can email us at hello@thestudiopaintbar.ca for any questions or inquiries you may have or for more urgent matters, you can call us at 647-403-0952.
Our Partnered Vendors
We have worked with our amazing catering partners to carry out their high standard of food service at The Studio by further providing catering to each guest in individually wrapped portions so the guest receives their food without any handling or outside exposure. Our catering partners have given us directives on how to prevent any contamination and ensure food safety and we are following them very closely.
Community Awareness
As of today, there is no community spread of COVID-19 at this time. The risk in Mississauga is still considered to be low. We are hosting Ward 1 City Councillor in our venue for a Facebook Live Stream event where he will be discussing community-based information on COVID-19 and how we can come together to support one another during this time. This can be viewed on the Modern Mississauga Website as well as the South Mississauga Communities Facebook page which we will also share on our Facebook page for your viewing.
For more information about COVID-19, Mississauga residents can call 905-799-7700. You can also visit the Peel Public Health Website, talk to your doctor or call TeleHealth at 1-866-797-0000.
We Thank You from the bottom of our artistic hearts for your continued support as we work to minimize the risk and spread of COVID-19 while we continue to offer our standard of services to you while we can in the safest manner possible.
Stay safe and take care.

Note on our Additional Measures:
Here are some additional measures in response to Currently Occurring Sporadic Importations of the COVID-19:
We are actively encouraging employees to stay home if showing signs of illness:
Employees who have symptoms of acute respiratory illness are advised to stay home and not come to work until they are free of symptoms for at least 24 hours.
We have amended our sick leave policy to accommodate this illness and have notified our staff of these policies. We are emphasizing staying home when sick, respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene by all employees
We have put up hand-washing posters and notices at our establishment
Soap, water and alcohol-based hand rubs have been placed in the workplace.
Coughing and sneezing etiquette has been relayed to employees and signage has been put up at our facility
We are performing routine environmental cleaning
We routinely clean all frequently touched surfaces in the workplace, such as workstations, countertops, and doorknobs. We use environmentally-friendly cleaning agents and follow the directions on the label.
We have provided disposable wipes for commonly used surfaces (i.e; doorknobs, keyboards, remote controls, desks) so they can be wiped down by employees before each use.
We have instructed all employees who are well but who have a sick family members at home with COVID-19 to notify The Studio Paint Bar and refer to CDC and www.ontario.ca guidance for how to conduct a risk assessment of their potential exposure. (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/php/risk-assessment.html)
We have reviewed our business response plan and will respond in a flexible way to varying levels of severity. This is included but not limited to, cancelling events and parties, temporarily closing down The Studio Paint Bar and/or reducing staff scheduling to reduce increased risk of exposure to COVID-19.
As of today, the immediate health risk from COVID-19 is considered low. The Studio Paint Bar is committed to actively monitoring national and international updates on the severity of illness caused by COVID-19.
In order to continue our safe and sanitary environment for our guests and our employees, The Studio Paint Bar is using the guidance listed above to reduce transmissibility and exposure to COVID-19. Public health agencies agree that hand-washing remains the best method to prevent the spread of the virus. We wish to prevent stigma and discrimination in the workplace and do not make determinations of risk based on race or country of origin.
